We’ve all been there—scrolling through endless options, wondering if you really need that seventh serum or if the latest beauty craze is just another hype. But deep down, you know that taking care of your skin is important. It’s not just about following trends; it’s about finding what truly works for you.

Why Routine Matters in Skincare

Let’s be honest: building a skincare routine can feel like navigating a maze. But here’s the thing—routine is everything. Consistency is the secret sauce that transforms a bunch of products into a skincare regime that actually delivers. When you find the right mix and stick with it, that’s when the magic happens. Your skin thrives on regular care, and a well-crafted routine can tackle anything from breakouts to dullness, leaving you with a complexion that looks and feels amazing.

The Essentials of a Skincare Routine

So, where do you start? It doesn’t have to be complicated. Think of it as a few simple steps that your skin will thank you for:

Cleansing or Double Cleansing: Start with a fresh slate. Use our Purifying Face Cleanser to gently remove impurities. If you wear makeup or SPF, a double cleanse with Hemp Blessed Cleansing Oil will ensure your skin is thoroughly clean.

Toning: Balance your skin’s pH and prep it for the next steps. A gentle toner can refresh and hydrate, making your skin more receptive to treatments.

Targeted Treatment: This is where you address specific skin concerns, like breakouts or fine lines. Apply our Skin Perfection Azelaic Serum before moisturizer for best results.

Moisturize: Hydration is your skin’s best friend. The Nurturing Face Cream locks in moisture, keeping your skin soft and smooth all day.

Targeted Treatment: For extra love, add another targeted treatment after moisturizing, like our Replenishing Antioxidant Face Oil to boost radiance and protect against environmental stressors.

SPF: Never skip this step! Protect your skin from UV damage with a broad-spectrum SPF, even on cloudy days.

Consistency Is Key

Here’s the deal: skincare is a journey, not a sprint. Quick fixes are tempting, but real results come from sticking with a routine. Over time, you’ll see your skin becoming more balanced, vibrant, and resilient. Plus, taking a few minutes each day to care for your skin isn’t just about looking good—it’s a moment to press pause, breathe, and take care of yourself.

With Hemptouch, you can build a routine that’s simple, effective, and totally you. Embrace the power of consistency, and let your skin do the talking.

How to solve dry skin on your hands using CBD products Have You Ever Noticed How Winter Takes a Toll on Your Hands? Perhaps you're among those who experience dry, cracked skin that itches and burns during the cold months.

Dry hands are a common issue in this season, as low temperatures and heated indoor spaces strip the skin of its natural moisture and oils, leading to significant discomfort.

Causes of Dry Skin on Hands

Dry skin on the hands can result from various factors, broadly categorized into three main areas:

  1. Environmental Factors: Cold temperatures, wind, and dry winter air significantly reduce skin moisture.
  2. Physical Factors: Frequent hand washing and the use of harsh cleansers can damage the skin's protective barrier.
  3. Internal Factors: Inadequate hydration, improper diet, and genetic predisposition can contribute to increased skin dryness.

Symptoms of Dry Skin

When the skin on your hands loses moisture, unpleasant symptoms may arise, not only causing discomfort but also affecting daily activities. Itching and redness are often the first signs of dry skin. Itching may lead to scratching, further damaging the skin and potentially causing inflammation. Dry skin often loses its smoothness, becoming rough to the touch and peeling, due to the shedding of the upper skin layers.

As dryness progresses, cracks may form, caused by the loss of skin elasticity, and these can be deep enough to cause bleeding.

A clear sign of moisture deficiency is the sensation of tightness, especially after washing. In severe cases of dry skin, redness and inflammation may appear, requiring prompt action to prevent further deterioration.

Potential Complications of Untreated Dry Skin:

  • Chronic Inflammation: Long-term inflammation due to dry skin can worsen the condition and cause more permanent skin damage.
  • Eczema: A chronic condition that may develop as a result of prolonged skin dryness, leading to red, inflamed, itchy rashes.
  • Infections: Cracks and skin damage can allow bacteria to enter, causing infections. These infections may require medical treatment with antibiotics or other medications.

Treating Dry Skin with CBD Products

Cannabidiol (CBD) has gained popularity for its anti-inflammatory properties and strong antioxidant effects, making it crucial in treating skin conditions. To alleviate dry skin on the hands, Hemptouch's CBD Hand Cream is particularly suitable, offering intense hydration and skin restoration, making it an ideal choice for daily use. Its active ingredients, including CBD cannabinoid, hemp oil, and a blend of essential oils like lavender, geranium, and tea tree, have anti-inflammatory effects and promote skin regeneration, helping to prevent dryness and cracks.

{id=156}

Care and Prevention of Dry Skin

Maintaining healthy hand skin requires regular care, which includes:

  • Avoiding excessive use of hot water and harsh soaps.
  • Avoiding prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Using mild cleansers and moisturizers after washing.
  • Regular internal hydration by drinking enough water.
  • Wearing gloves when working with water and cleaners.
  • Regularly applying moisturizing cream and balm specifically formulated for dry skin.

Dry hands require a comprehensive approach to care, with CBD-based products offering an effective solution. By regularly using appropriate moisturizing products and following proper care principles, we can significantly improve our skin's condition and prevent common issues associated with dryness.

Blackheads: Causes, Prevention, and Effective Treatment Have you ever noticed small spots marring your skin's appearance while looking in the mirror? These dark spots, known as blackheads or open comedones, form when pores become clogged with a combination of sebum and dead skin cells.

Blackheads are a common skin issue affecting both adolescents and adults, often indicating that our skin needs extra care.

Causes of Blackheads

Blackheads typically arise from excessive sebum production, the natural oil that moisturizes and protects the skin. Hormonal changes during puberty, pregnancy, and menopause are often responsible. Inadequate skin cleansing and the use of unsuitable cosmetic products can also cause clogged pores.

Other contributing factors include:

  • Diets high in fatty and sugary foods
  • Stress
  • Lack of sleep
  • Genetics

Symptoms and Identification of Blackheads

Blackheads appear as small black dots, acquiring their dark color through the oxidation of sebum and keratin upon exposure to air.

They commonly occur in the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) but can also be found on the back, chest, arms, and shoulders, where sebaceous glands are abundant.

Although blackheads are less inflammatory than other acne types, untreated blackheads can lead to more painful and noticeable forms of acne, such as pustules or cysts.

Preventive Measures

Blackheads are not just a cosmetic issue but can lead to more severe skin problems. Preventive care involves regular and proper skin care and a healthy lifestyle, including:

  • Daily cleansing with non-comedogenic cleansers that don’t clog pores
  • Using mild exfoliants with salicylic acid to remove dead skin cells and prevent pore blockages
  • Choosing cosmetics suitable for your skin type
  • Using Hemptouch azelaic acid for its anti-inflammatory properties to reduce skin impurities
  • Avoiding excessive face touching
  • Maintaining a healthy diet rich in vegetables, fruits, and proper hydration

How to Remove Blackheads

Although tempting, avoid squeezing blackheads yourself and steer clear of mechanical exfoliants, peel-off masks, and suction methods. These techniques can irritate or damage the skin, leading to micro-injuries, increased inflammation, deeper infection spread, and eventually scarring or hyperpigmentation.

Instead, use gentle cleansing methods like facial steam baths to open pores, followed by the careful removal of blackheads with pre-sterilized tools. Post-cleansing, it's crucial to soothe and thoroughly moisturize the skin.

The Role of CBD in Treating Blackheads

CBD has gained popularity in dermatology due to its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Using CBD products like Hemptouch skin balance trio can help regulate excessive sebum production, preventing new blackheads.

  • The Purifying Face Cleanser with hemp ingredients, chlorella algae, and cedar essential oil ensures thorough skin cleansing. It's highly recommended as the second step in double cleansing to cleanse pores, remove dead cells, and prepare the skin for further steps.

{id=55}

  • A Moisturizing Bright Essence, containing white fir, CBD, and hyaluronic acid, provides moisture and is suitable for dry, combination, and oily skin types.

{id=85}

  • The Balancing Face Cream with an active CBD concentration helps balance excess sebum production, while neroli, chlorella, and hemp hydrosol soothe redness. This cream is recommended for those with combination, oily skin experiencing excess sebum, acne, blackheads, etc.

{id=54}

Studies indicate that CBD’s anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects help regulate sebum production and reduce skin impurities. Many users report improved skin texture, reduced blackhead appearance, and overall complexion enhancement after regular use of CBD products, corroborated by studies.

Impetigo: Everything you need to know about this contagious skin infection Impetigo is a highly contagious bacterial skin infection that most commonly affects infants and children under the age of 6. Adults are not immune, especially if they have been in close contact with infected children.

The infection is not only unpleasant because of its symptoms, such as painful rashes and scabs, but can also lead to serious complications.

Prompt recognition of problems and effective treatment are therefore essential so that preventive measures can be taken to reduce the risk of spreading the infection.

What is impetigo?

Impetigo is a superficial bacterial infection that affects the upper layers of the skin. It most commonly occurs in two forms: non-bullous impetigo, which is more common and usually less severe, and bullous impetigo, which is similar to non-bullous impetigo but causes larger blisters. The more serious form of impetigo, known as ecthyma, penetrates deep into the skin and causes painful sores that can develop into deep ulcers.

All types of impetigo are caused by the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. Inflammation can be painful and cause severe discomfort, so it is important that the infection is diagnosed and treated quickly. Otherwise, impetigo can lead to serious skin complications such as cellulitis, kidney problems, scarring and spread to other parts of the body.

Symptoms of impetigo

Symptoms of impetigo initially appear as red rashes that develop painful blisters with clear contents or pus, which burst and are covered by scabs. The blisters can spread over the whole body, but most often appear on the facial area around the nose and mouth, on the hands and feet.

Nebullous impetigo most commonly affects the face, hands and feet, while bullous impetigo often occurs on the trunk and buttocks. It usually takes 7 to 10 days from exposure to the first symptoms. The infection causes itching and discomfort, which can interfere with sleep and daily activities, so treatment is mainly aimed at relieving these symptoms and preventing further spread of the bacteria. Without proper treatment, impetigo can become a chronic problem, leading to further health complications.

Rarely, a complication of glomerulonephritis can occur after impetigo, which is not directly related to the bacterial infection but to the immune system response that causes inflammation of the renal corpuscles. Symptoms such as swelling, high blood pressure, fever and bloody urine usually appear one to two weeks after the onset of impetigo.

Causes and modes of transmission

Impetigo can be spread through direct skin contact or indirectly through objects such as toys, towels, bedding and clothing.

Risk factors that can increase the chances of developing impetigo include:

  • Warm and humid conditions, which are ideal for bacteria to thrive
  • Small wounds and mosquito bites, where bacteria can easily enter the body
  • Poor personal hygiene
  • Skin diseases such as eczema or psoriasis, which can weaken the skin's protective functions
  • Group activities where it is possible to come into contact with infected surfaces

Preventing impetigo

Maintaining basic hygiene habits is important to successfully prevent the spread of impetigo. Wash your hands regularly, use your own towels and bed linen and avoid direct contact with infected people as much as possible. However, if an infection does occur, antibiotics can take effect within 24 hours of treatment, quickly limiting the chances of further spread.

Remember to regularly clean and disinfect surfaces in your home or other places where infected people are present. By taking these simple steps, you can significantly reduce the risk of bacterial transmission and help keep your environment safe.

Using CBD to treat impetigo

Research has shown that CBD ointments and oils can help manage the symptoms of impetigo, such as pain, redness and inflammation, and speed up the healing process of the skin. CBD products are therefore recommended as an adjunct to standard treatments with antibiotics or antiseptic creams prescribed by a doctor.

Taking CBD drops orally has many benefits, such as anti-inflammatory effects, pain relief, immune support and general improvement of well-being. Hemptouch CBD drops are available in different concentrations, tailored to the condition of your problems.

{id=117}

For topical treatments, we recommend Hemptouch Therapeutic CBD Balm, which contains an ideal concentration of CBD and other cannabinoids for a powerful anti-inflammatory and calming effect, plus hemp oil with omega fatty acids and plant butters to repair, nourish and protect the skin, which can offer an alternative or supportive treatment.

{id=174}

Using these products can reduce the need for stronger medicines and the possibility of side effects, which is particularly important when treating children.

Effective management of impetigo starts with early recognition of symptoms. If standard approaches prove ineffective, alternatives such as CBD products can offer very valuable help. This way, we can effectively manage the infection and reduce its impact on our daily lives.

Hyaluronic acid: a natural moisturiser for youthful skin Have you heard of hyaluronic acid - the "miracle" substance in our bodies that is renowned for its remarkable ability to retain moisture? This natural substance, found mainly in connective tissue, is the key to maintaining youthful-looking and healthy skin. But do you know how it's made up? Or what are its other benefits for the skin?

Read this article to find out how hyaluronic acid works, why it has become indispensable in modern skin care and the link between hyaluronic acid and CBD products.

What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide molecule (i.e. a large and complex carbohydrate), also known as hyaluronan. Along with collagen and elastin, it is one of the main components of connective tissue, which keeps the skin moisturised and firm.

However, as we age, hyaluronic acid production decreases, which can lead to loss of moisture, loss of volume and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

In general, we say that there are two forms of hyaluronic acid, namely high molecular and low molecular. High-molecular hyaluronic acid has larger molecules that act on the surface of the skin. There, they form a protective layer that retains moisture and protects the skin from loss of hydration. On the other hand, low molecular weight hyaluronic acid contains smaller molecules that can penetrate deeper into the skin. This allows them to improve the skin's structure and increase its elasticity, contributing to healthier and more youthful-looking skin from the inside.

čiščenje obraza

What are the benefits of hyaluronic acid?

  • Moisturises the skin: as mentioned above, hyaluronic acid works by attracting and retaining water in the skin, helping to maintain its natural moisture. This helps to make the skin softer, smoother and more supple. It can also improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by filling the space between skin cells, giving a more even and fresh appearance

  • Firms the skin: younger skin is firm and toned, but it loses more and more of its elasticity year by year. Skincare products containing hyaluronic acid can help slow this process and contribute to a more youthful appearance.

  • Helps produce collagen and elastin: hyaluronic acid has the ability to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin and stimulate collagen synthesis by as much as 20%, helping to increase skin firmness. Elastin and collagen help to avoid deep wrinkles, which are the biggest indicator of skin ageing.

  • Ensures faster wound healing: hyaluronic acid helps the tissue regeneration process, which is important in wound healing. Various studies confirm that applying this acid to a wound can heal damaged tissue faster.

  • Antioxidant: Hyaluronic acid is a powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals in the body that contribute to premature ageing and skin damage.

  • Supports the skin's protective barrier: with regular use, hyaluronic acid can strengthen the skin's protective barrier, helping to maintain its natural balance and protect it from external influences such as pollution and UV radiation.

In what form can it be used?

Hyaluronic acid can be used in various forms in facial care, such as serums, creams and injections.

Serums are usually lighter in texture and absorbed quickly, and are suitable for daily use under other products.

Hyaluronic acid creams are more nourishing and suitable for night-time care as they work deeper and for longer.

Hyaluronic acid injections offer the most direct and intense hydration and skin rejuvenation, and are often used for targeted treatment of deep wrinkles and imperfections.

Which form of use is most appropriate depends primarily on the specific needs and desired results of the individual.

Possible side effects and precautions

Certain side effects are possible when using hyaluronic acid and include allergic reactions such as itching, swelling or redness of the skin. It is therefore advisable to perform a test on a small area of skin before use.

In addition, it is advisable to avoid the use of hyaluronic acid in the following cases:

  • Active inflammation or damage to the skin: In case of active inflammation or damage to the skin, it is better to postpone the use of hyaluronic acid as it may irritate or aggravate the skin condition.
  • History of allergic reactions: If you have a history of allergic reactions to other dermal fillers or ingredients in cosmetic products, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist before use.
  • Other products: products that combine hyaluronic acid with other drugs or compounds may have certain risks of side effects.

Hyaluronic acid combined with CBD

As mentioned above, hyaluronic acid acts like a magnet, attracting moisture to the skin. You can also help hydrate your skin with our Nurturing Face Cream, which is enriched with hyaluronic acid, hemp oil and hemp seed hydrate. All three ingredients provide instant hydration, firm the skin, promote its long-term health and give it a radiant glow.

{id=53}

For even better results, you can also try the Moisturising Bright Essence for a radiant complexion, the first step in moisturising for every skin type. The Hyaluronic Acid in the Moisturising Essence deeply hydrates for a plump and smooth complexion, the White Fir Polyphenols increase skin elasticity and the precious Hemp Hydrolates revitalise the complexion and restore radiance.

{id=85}

The essence works by filling the water channels in the skin and improving the passage and targeting action of the active ingredients in creams or serums, which are the next step in your skincare routine.

What else can we do to keep our skin as hydrated as possible?

A healthy lifestyle will help you keep your skin soft, smooth and firmer for longer. Make sure you get enough exercise and eat a balanced diet, drink plenty of water, limit alcohol consumption, stop smoking and get a good night's sleep.

How to calm anxiety? Effective methods and the impact of CBD Anxiety is a condition characterised by feelings of fear, unpleasantness, nervous tension, agitation and threat. Symptoms can appear suddenly or gradually. They may last for a few minutes (for example in panic attacks) or persist and interfere with everyday activities (in generalised anxiety disorder).

And with anxiety thought to affect as many as 10% of people worldwide, it is very important that it is both detected and treated effectively as early as possible.

What are the symptoms of anxiety?

Anxiety affects us as a whole, as the symptoms of anxiety manifest themselves at different levels (thoughts, feelings, physical signs, behaviours) and interact, stimulate and maintain each other.

  • Mental symptoms: difficulty concentrating, forgetfulness, excessive worry, inner turmoil, tension, irritability, tearfulness, thoughts of negativity (such as "I'm going crazy"; "I can't take it anymore"; "I'm going to embarrass myself"), fear of losing control, mood swings, etc.
  • Physical symptoms: palpitations, sweating, headaches, nausea, rapid breathing, chest pain, abdominal pain, dizziness, tingling or numbness, etc.
  • Behavioural signs: insomnia, avoidance of anxiety-provoking situations, social isolation, restless movement (e.g. tapping foot), increased drug and alcohol use, etc.
anksioznost

First aid for anxiety: self-help and calming techniques

The good news is that people who are prone to anxiety are able to do a lot on their own to alleviate their feelings of anxiety. It helps to fight anxiety to the greatest extent:

  • Physical activity: regular exercise has long been known to help reduce stress and release mood-enhancing endorphins.
  • Meditation and relaxation techniques: relaxation techniques, which can be practised alone or with guidance, also help to calm the body and mind. Meditation and relaxation techniques can help you both when anxiety is starting to set in and when you can already sense that changes are happening in your body and mind. There are several relaxation techniques such as mindfulness, visualisation, progressive muscle relaxation, breathing exercises, etc.
  • Journaling: regularly writing down your thoughts and feelings in a journal can also help to reduce feelings of anxiety. By putting our worries on paper, we can analyse and manage them more easily, which helps us to understand ourselves and our emotional reactions better.
  • A balanced diet Avoid caffeine, nicotine and artificial additives and choose fresh, unprocessed foods such as whole-grain cereals, leafy green vegetables and low-fat dairy products.

What role does CBD play in anxiety management?

CBD affects the receptors of our endocannabinoid system, which is responsible for establishing and maintaining homeostasis in our body. CB1 and CB2 receptors are the neural pathways through which the endocannabinoid system regulates bodily responses such as mood, emotions, pain, movement and so on.

Cannabinoids from hemp have the ability to compensate for the deficiency of cannabinoids in our system and prevent over-stimulation of the CB1 receptor. CBD also affects the function of the serotonin 5-HT1A receptor, which is responsible for our mood and feelings of happiness and contentment. It is these two receptors that are thought to play a key role in anxiety.

CBD is also a natural support for the body in overcoming symptoms of anxiety.

So which products do we recommend?

First of all, CBD drops (CBD oil), which are the ideal prevention against stress and in times of great strain and stress.

{id=139}

In addition to the drops, you can also use CBD spray and CBD hemp resin to combat anxiety.

{id=14}

The latter contains a CBD extract with a higher ratio of CBD and a range of other cannabinoids including CBG, CBG- and CBC. The ideal ratio of all active ingredients mimics that found in nature and therefore ensures a synergistic or 'entourage' effect and thus the highest therapeutic potential.

Acne skin care: the right routine and the most common mistakes Acne is a skin condition where the hair follicle becomes clogged with dead skin cells and sebum. It is characterised by the appearance of white or blackheads and pimples, and a markedly oily complexion.

The most common causes of acne in adults are hormonal imbalance, stress, unhealthy diet and inadequate skin care. In addition, the occurrence of acne is also largely attributed to genetics.

Although acne is more common during puberty, it is not limited to the adolescent years. Many people continue to suffer from acne well into their twenties or even thirties, and occasionally acne flares up later in life.

What are the most common acne skin care mistakes?

Of course you should wash your face if you have acne, but did you know that too much cleansing can irritate your skin and even make it worse? We've rounded up some of the most common skincare mistakes that can make acne worse:

  • Cleaning your skin too often: as mentioned before, washing your face several times a day can further irritate your skin and cause it to get worse. We recommend washing your face only twice a day - when you get up and before you go to bed. During the day, for example, wash only after heavy sweating
  • Use harsh cleansers: harsh cleansers can dry out the skin and cause larger breakouts, so it is better to choose gentle and balanced cleansers that do not remove the skin's natural oils
  • Pressing acne and pimples: pressing acne can lead to scarring and the spread of bacteria, worsening the skin condition.
  • Changing and testing oily skin care products too often: constantly changing creams and other products can cause skin irritation. Instead, you need to give the products time to take effect (as the full effect only becomes apparent after 3-4 months of use).
  • Sleeping with make-up on: acne can also be aggravated by non-comedogenic make-up (i.e. pore-clogging cosmetics). So always remove your make-up before going to bed - no excuses!
  • Forgetting to moisturise: every skin type (even oily skin) needs moisturising. It's true that you shouldn't use active ingredients such as acids or retinoids every day, but you should also spend one day a week replenishing your skin and strengthening its barrier. If the skin barrier is damaged, this can lead to, among other things, worsening of acne.

What is the ideal regular skincare routine for acne-prone skin?

The good news for those of you who suffer from acne-prone skin is that thoughtful and regular skin care can help keep the skin condition under control. It's just important to be consistent with your skincare routine and discerning with your product choices.

  • Cleaning

A key step in acne skin care is to cleanse thoroughly in the morning and at night. It is also important that the cleansing is gentle enough to avoid drying out the skin further. This means avoiding all artificial foaming agents, fragrances, alcohol and other additives that are potentially irritating.

An effective choice for cleansing your skin is Purifying Face Cleanser, which soothes and deep cleanses sensitive skin - without drying it out.

  • Toning and moisturising

The next important step in an ideal skin routine is to help the skin regain its optimal pH after cleansing. This is done by choosing a product that moisturises the skin and provides it with antioxidants.

The perfect choice of active ingredients is hidden in the Moisturising Bright Essence, which restores suppleness to the skin and enhances the effect of all subsequent skincare steps.

  • Target care

If you skip this step, your skin will be even more ungrateful.

For targeted care, Balancing Face Cream - a moisturiser that naturally regulates sebum secretion in oily skin, soothing and protecting against the appearance of pimples and acne - will be especially helpful.

The role of CBD and hemp products in acne skin care

Have you ever wondered why CBD and hemp products are so successful for oily skin?

CBD cannabinoid has the remarkable property of reducing excessive skin oil production and soothing red and inflamed skin without drying it out. Hemp oil, with its ideal ratio of omega fats and antioxidants, strengthens the skin's hydrolipidic layer and soothes sensitive skin, while hemp hydrolat moisturises and boosts microcirculation, tightening pores.

And here's our tip: we also recommend CBD oil support therapy to reduce redness and inflammation.

Reddened skin - causes and treatment Red skin is not just a cosmetic nuisance and often serves as a warning sign that can indicate a variety of health conditions, from common allergic reactions to more complex dermatological diseases such as rosacea.

Understanding and identifying the causes of red skin helps not only in choosing the right skincare products, but also in making lifestyle adjustments to prevent further aggravation or recurrence of symptoms.

In the following, we will explore the key causes and the most effective methods for managing and treating skin redness.

Causes and triggers

Skin redness can be triggered by a number of factors. Genetics can play a major role, as some people inherit fairer and more sensitive skin, which is most prone to redness.

Environmental factors such as extreme temperatures, sunlight or strong winds, and hormonal changes such as those that occur during the menstrual cycle, pregnancy or menopause, also often contribute to redness.

Last but not least, lifestyle factors including stress, diet and the use of certain products can also leave noticeable effects on our face. Inappropriate cosmetics or skin care products can lead to irritation and consequent redness.

Symptoms

Skin redness often starts as a subtle, temporary change when blood vessels under the surface of the skin rapidly dilate, causing temporary redness.

This is a natural response of the body that usually subsides as the blood vessels return to their normal state, but without proper care of the skin, these blood vessels will eventually remain dilated, which can lead to permanent redness or even the development of skin conditions such as rosacea.

The gradual development of rosacea involves the following stages:

  1. Occasional flushing, which may take the form of rapid flushing.
  2. Permanent, diffuse redness, known as erytrosis, which is often most visible on the cheeks.
  3. Exacerbation of erytrosis with prominent veins which may herald the transition to rosacea.
  4. Inflammatory rosacea, manifesting as red patches, often accompanied by white pimples.

This gradual progression underlines the importance of timely and consistent skin care, especially when the first signs of redness are observed, which may also be accompanied by itching, burning, stinging and peeling.

Prevention and care

Avoiding known triggers is key to preventing further deterioration. Wear sun-protective clothing and regularly use high SPF creams such as Hemptouch Mineral Shield Face Sunscreen SPF 30, which provides broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection without irritation and is suitable for sensitive skin.

For daily care, choose gentle cleansing products that don't irritate the skin and a rich moisturiser, such as Hemptouch Nurturing Face Cream, which helps replenish the skin barrier and provides instant hydration.

By using suitable skincare products specifically designed for sensitive skin, you can effectively reduce the appearance of redness.

The role of CBD in addressing skin redness

Cannabidiol (CBD) plays an important role in reducing inflammation and soothing irritated skin. Products such as Hemptouch Soothing CBD Ointment offer intense relief from redness and itching, while improving the overall condition of the skin.

CBD is known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, making it an excellent choice for sensitive and irritated skin. By using the suggested products regularly, you will be able to reduce redness, alleviate symptoms and prevent it from getting worse.

It is important to stick to an established routine and be alert to any changes that might indicate a need for adjustment or additional medical help.

Insomnia in menopause: how can we help? Have you ever heard the claim that insomnia and menopause go hand in hand? And this is borne out by numerous studies that have shown that 61% of women experience insomnia several years before or during menopause itself.

Menopause, which is a natural part of the ageing process of the female body, brings with it many challenges in the form of hormonal changes - one of which is insomnia. And since understanding and properly managing insomnia during this period is crucial to maintaining overall health and a better quality of life for menopausal women, we will focus on this topic in today's article.

What are the causes of insomnia in menopause?

The causes of insomnia in menopause are varied and usually include:

  • Hormonal changes: significant fluctuations in oestrogen and progesterone can disrupt the body's natural circadian rhythm
  • Night sweats: a common symptom of menopause is night sweats, which can disturb sleep and cause us to wake up during the night
  • Psychological factors: Depression, anxiety and stress, which are common accompaniments of menopause, can negatively affect sleep quality
  • Medical conditions: certain medical conditions such as cardiovascular disease, thyroid disease or asthma can also affect insomnia in the menopause
  • Taking certain medications

What can be the consequences of insomnia?

Changes in sleep patterns during the menopause can have a significant impact on the quality of women's daily lives, leading to a reduced ability to carry out daily tasks and negative effects on physical and mental health. In addition, chronic insomnia can weaken the immune system and increase the risk of developing chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases.

That's why it's crucial that menopausal insomnia is properly addressed and ways to improve sleep quality are found.

The effect of CBD on insomnia in menopause

CBD works by binding to endocannabinoid receptors in our body. These receptors are part of the endocannabinoid system, which has a very important function in our body. Some of the bodily functions regulated by the endocannabinoid system include sleep, memory, appetite, pain and inflammation, mood and even reproduction. It could be said that the endocannabinoid system is the conductor of our organism, making sure that all the elements of the orchestra work in harmony.

CBD has been shown to help relieve insomnia symptoms

CBD drops have been shown to improve sleep, mainly due to their calming effect and reduction of feelings of anxiety. The positive impact of CBD cannabinoid on stress and anxiety has been proven in several scientific studies, and the beneficial effects of CBD drops on insomnia have also been testified by numerous positive testimonials from CBD product users worldwide.

We particularly recommend Amber CBD drops, for which we receive an overwhelming number of positive reviews and responses when our customers share their experiences with this unpleasant condition.

Please note: The dosage of CBD products is individual and specific to each person, as our endocannabidoid systems differ in their need for and response to CBD extract intake.

Other techniques for better managing insomnia

In addition to pharmacological treatments, there are other techniques that can help manage insomnia in the menopause. Some of these include:

  • Lifestyle changes (regular physical activity, balanced diet, reduction of caffeine and alcohol intake).
  • Relaxation techniques
  • Promoting a healthy sleep environment and sleep hygiene (give up the phone before bedtime, keep room temperature to 19.4 degrees, eat food at least one hour before bedtime, turn off all lights)
  • Sound and music therapy (listening to relaxing music or nature sounds before bed can help create a calming environment for better sleep)
